Coach Information

Coach Requirements

At this time, the official coach requirements for the 2027 NAIG have not been released. We encourage coaches to check back here regularly for updates.

Steps to Prepare

In the meantime, we recommend coaches:

Get involved in coaching at the community or competitive level prior to the Games.
Begin NCCP certification in your respective sport.
Complete the following courses:

Background Checks

All coaches will need to pass:

Child Abuse Registry check
Criminal Record Check

Sports

3D Archery
Arctic Sports (New Trial Sport)
Athletics
Badminton
Baseball
Basketball
Beach Volleyball
Box Lacrosse
Canoe/Kayak
Golf
Rifle
Soccer
Softball
Swimming
Volleyball
Wrestling

These sports may be subject to change as the host society finalizes details for the event.

We acknowledge that the Manitoba Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Council Inc.
