The 2027 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) will be held in Calgary, Alberta, located within the Treaty 7 Territory in Canada. This event will take place on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, which includes the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani Nations, as well as the Tsuut'ina Nation and the Îyâxe Nakoda (Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney Nations). Calgary is also home to the Otipemisiwak Métis Government, representing Districts 5 & 6 of the Métis Nation of Alberta.
Welcome to the Team Manitoba Athlete Information page! Here you will find important details about the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) and how to participate as an athlete for Team Manitoba.
There are no overage exemptions allowed.
To participate in the North American Indigenous Games, athletes must provide proof of their identity. The following documents will be required when registering for tryouts:
Each athlete must also provide proof of residency within the province of Manitoba.
These sports may be subject to change as the host society finalizes details for the event. As well, not all age categories may be included for each sport, as the specific categories will depend on the final event structure.
