Nevaeh Stinson!

Nevaeh Stinson, a proud Métis athlete from Minnedosa, has emerged as a role model both on and off the softball field. Currently attending Minnedosa Collegiate Institute, Nevaeh has excelled not only in sports but also in academics, earning herself a spot on the Honour Roll upon graduation.

Nevaeh's journey through high school wasn't without its challenges, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when she had to navigate remote learning. Despite these obstacles, Nevaeh maintained a strong focus on her studies and achieved a notable 3.6 GPA by the time she graduated. Her determination to excel academically was driven by her realization that without strong grades, her athletic dreams might not materialize beyond high school.

On the softball field, Nevaeh has been a force to be reckoned with. She has represented the Westman Magic and Layne's Stars softball teams with distinction, earning numerous accolades along the way. Notably, she clinched gold at NAIG 2023, became a Canadian Native Fastpitch Champion in 2023, and secured Western Canadian Softball Gold in the same year. These achievements underscore her exceptional talent and dedication to her sport.

Nevaeh's impressive athletic abilities and academic achievements have not gone unnoticed. She has been awarded a scholarship to Mayville State University, where she will continue her journey as a student-athlete. Nevaeh plans to study early years education, combining her passion for sports with her commitment to shaping young minds.

Beyond her personal accomplishments, Nevaeh remains deeply involved in her community. She actively mentors young athletes through camps and programs, inspiring the next generation of Indigenous youth to pursue their dreams both on and off the field.

Nevaeh Stinson exemplifies the spirit of perseverance and achievement. Her dedication to academics, combined with her outstanding performance in softball, has positioned her as a trailblazer in her community. As she prepares to embark on her collegiate career at Mayville State University, Nevaeh continues to set a shining example for aspiring athletes everywhere. Her story is not just one of athletic excellence but also of resilience, determination, and a commitment to making a positive impact wherever she goes.
