Honouring Outstanding Achievements of Indigenous Manitobans in Sport

January 9, 2025

The 2025 Manitoba Indigenous Sports Awards are now accepting nominations, celebrating the achievements of Indigenous athletes, coaches, and volunteers in 2024. This spring, we will come together to honour the recipients of the Manitoba Indigenous Sports Hall of Fame and Major Awards at our Night of Excellence-a special event dedicated to recognizing the remarkable contributions of Indigenous Manitobans in sport.

This prestigious occasion will highlight the top athletes, coaches, and volunteers who have demonstrated excellence, leadership, and dedication in their respective roles over the past year. These individuals have not only achieved greatness on the national and international stage but have also made significant positive impacts on their communities.

At the Manitoba Aboriginal Sports & Recreation Council (MASRC), celebrating Indigenous excellence in sport is a cornerstone of our mission. Events like the Manitoba Indigenous Sports Awards are essential in recognizing those who are transforming the landscape of sport in Manitoba and beyond. By shining a light on their hard work and accomplishments, we hope to inspire the next generation of Indigenous athletes, coaches, and volunteers to continue their pursuit of excellence.
